Watch: Yuzvendra Chahal gets a grand birthday surprise in London, apparently planned by RJ Mahvash

Dubai: Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal received an unforgettable surprise on his 35th birthday when a flash mob broke out on a London street just for him. The heartwarming gesture, reportedly organised by his rumoured girlfriend RJ Mahvash, has since gone viral — leaving Chahal visibly emotional.

Sharing a video of the moment on social media, Chahal wrote: "Hum ladko ki kabhi kabhi puri life bhi nikal jaati hai bina birthday celebrate kare 😂 This is my first birthday surprise in three decades and probably the craziest! The world was spinning while all of this was happening — numb, grateful, overwhelmed. Hope we all have friends who go out of their way to make us smile 🥹 Still trying to digest the fact that THIS HAPPENED IN REAL."

Following the surprise, Chahal and Mahvash were spotted walking together through the streets of London. Speculation about their relationship began earlier this year, around the time Chahal's marriage to choreographer Dhanashree Verma officially ended in March 2025. Since then, Mahvash has often been seen alongside Chahal, including during his current London trip.

Fueling the rumours further, Chahal appeared to confirm his relationship during a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. When asked by comedian Kiku Sharda about "the girl everyone's talking about," Chahal replied with a knowing smile: "India jaan chuka hai, 4 mahine pehle." Fans took it as a not-so-subtle confirmation that Mahvash is indeed the one.

Chahal and Dhanashree Verma finalized their divorce in March 2025, after filing for mutual separation in a Mumbai court. The couple had reportedly been living apart since mid-2022. Though the legal process faced delays, the Bombay High Court granted an early divorce just ahead of the 2025 IPL season.
