Tendulkar praises Lara's great knock

India's star batsman Sachin Tendulkar praised Brian Lara's brilliant innings against South Africa.
"He is a very gifted player and this kind of an innings is what was expected of him," remarked Tendulkar.

"Lara's innings must have pleased his fans. He cannot be stopped once he gets going. It's a very good comeback," he added.

Tendulkar recalled an incident during a Test match while he was the captain. "I'd set a defensive field for him and he surprisingly found the gaps. It's impossible to set a field for him once he finds his touch. His biggest ability is to play the ground shots and find the gaps," he revealed.

However, Tendulkar refused to be drawn into a comparison with Lara. "I've always said we are different types of players and we should not be compared.

"He has his role to play and I have mine. Our main job is to score runs and we do it our own way," he stressed.
