Dubai: "Pakistan will have to field well in all matches," remarked Shahzad Altaf, former UAE player and head coach of the Young Talents Cricket Academy.
"Pakistan has good bowlers, but they need to be backed up by good fielding for their bowling attack to look sharp. They should not take any opponents lightly. Bangladesh proved that they are not an easy opponent and hence Pakistan should go for the kill in all matches," added Altaf, who has the record for the most economical bowler in a World Cup by giving away just 15 runs from his ten overs against Netherlands in the 1996 World Cup for UAE.
"Pakistan should score above 165 runs and use their spinners well. Most of the non-Asian countries are weak against spin and Pakistan should utilise this weakness," said Altaf.
Altaf feels that openers Kamran Akmal and Salman Butt are a good combination. "Misbah Ul Haq is a fine Twenty20 player and should come out good," he said.
