Dubai: Sapandeep Singh and Balwender Singh both hit unbeaten half centuries as Multiplex International secured an authoritative 10-wicket victory over New Medical Centre in the 44th Bukhatir Premier League, organised by the Sharjah Cricket Council at Al Dhaid Cricket Village. Chasing 154 to win, Multiplex International openers Balwender Singh and Sapandeep Singh put on a brilliant show and remained unbeaten till the end to ensure their team won in only 13.5 overs.

Sapandeep Singh’s aggressive knock of unbeaten 96 came off 56 deliveries and was studded with 10 boundaries and six sixes. Balwender Singh faced 27 balls for his 51 not out and it was laced with four boundaries and as many sixes.

Earlier taking the first share of the crease, NMC suffered an early jolt with two wickets falling in quick succession. Muhammad Rizwan Ali (20) and Shahbaz Ahmed (15) tried to revive the innings before another collapse put NMC in a state of bother.

Asif Ghafoor (24) and Nisar Ahmed (20) held the innings firm for a brief while but some exceptional bowling meant NMC were shot out for just 153 in 39 overs.

For Multiplex, Mohammad Yasir Ali claimed three wickets while Aftab Azwar, Zubair Khan and Ahmad Naseem all bagged two wickets each.
