Lee's new passion - learning Hindi
Dubai: When it comes to a crush for India and it's culture, Australian speed merchant Brett Lee seems to have taken a leaf out of Steve Waugh's book. Or may be, he has even taken it a step further.
"India is like my second home now. It's a great spot and I love their culture," said the fast bowler, who has even started taking Hindi lessons for some time now.
During a chat with the media here, when a scribe popped him a question about how far he had progressed with the language, Lee sent them into raptures with a thoda, thoda (little, little).
His filmstar looks and a pleasant smile has endeared Lee to the entertainment industry back in India - leading to an offer to act in a movie apart from the album already released with Asha Bhonsle. Is another album round the corner too? "Yeah, yeah, may be," quipped Lee.
"I fell in love since I toured India for the first time as a 17-year-old in 1994. My effort to pick up the language is to show respect to the country.
"Whenever I visit South Africa, I try to pick up a little bit of Afrikaan too," he added.
