Dubai: Cricket and Bollywood are inseparable. Over the years we have heard several stories of top Indian cricketers having dated top Bollywood actresses.

While some have managed to maintain the relationship for long, a few have parted ways. We look at some of couples who have created some wonderful love stories.

Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma

They are the power couple and receive a lot of attention for everything and anything they do. It was in 2013 that former Indian captain Kohli started dating Anushka after they met on the sets of a TV commercial shoot. After secretly dating for nearly four years, they got married in a private ceremony that included their family and close friends in Tuscany, Italy on December 11, 2017. The couple has two kids - daughter Vamika born in 2021 and son Akaay in 2024.

KL Rahul- Athiya Shetty

Indian cricketer KL Rahul and actress Athiya Shetty's love story was nothing short of a fairytale. The couple met through a mutual friend in 2019 but kept their relationship a secret. After nearly four years of dating, Rahul tied the knot with Athiya at her father actor Suniel Shetty's Khandala farmhouse on January 23, 2023, in an intimate ceremony. The couple welcomed their daughter Evaarah Vipula Rahul in March.

Harbhajan Singh- Geeta Basra

Former Indian ace spinner Harbhajan Singh first saw actress Geeta Basra in a music video shot for the movie 'The Train.' After nearly chasing her for almost a month, they became good friends. Geeta, who was born in England, started dating Harbhajan before they decided to get married in 2015 in Jalandhar, Punjab. In July 2016, they had a daughter Hinaya Heer Plaha, and in July 2021, their son Jovan Veer Singh Plaha was born.

Yuvraj Singh- Hazel Keech

Former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech, an actress from Britain and Mauritius, first met at a common friend's party. After much persistence, Yuvraj managed to convince Hazel and the two got engaged in November 2015 and then married were the following year. They have two kids, their son Orion was born on January 25, 2022, and Aura, their daughter, was born on August 25, 2023.

Zaheer Khan- Sagarika Ghatge

Former Indian fast bowler Zaheer Khan and actress Sagarika Ghatge, known for her role in Chak De! India, became friends after meeting through a common circle of friends. They got married on November 23, 2017 in a private ceremony before throwing a lavish celebration in Mumbai. The couple welcomed their first kid after eight years of marriage on April 16 this year and named him Fatehsinh Khan.

Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi- Sharmila Tagore

|Legend of Indian cricketer and the late Nawab of Pataudi and Mansoor Ali Khan and Bollywood's most glamorous actress Sharmila Tagore got married after dating for a few years on December 27, 1968. It was one of India's most talked-about weddings those days. The couple had three children: Son Saif Ali Khan, daughter Saba Ali Khan and Soha Ali Khan. Mansoor Ali Khan passed away in 2011.

Mohammad Azharuddin- Sangeeta Bijlani

Former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin married actress and 1980 Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani in 1996 after the couple gained lot of attention. Azharuddin was already married to Naureen and had two sons Asaduddin and Ayazuddin with her. But after his affair with Bijlani started he divorced his first wife. But Azharuddin's second marriage too ran into trouble and after 14 years of marriage they called it quits in 2010. Apparently reports said it was the closeness between Azharuddin and Indian star badminton player Jwala Gutta that caused the rift.
