Dubai: Dubai is all set to host the thrilling ‘dream final’ of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, featuring cricket powerhouses India and New Zealand.

The Dubai Event Security Committee (ESC) has confirmed that all security measures are in place to ensure a safe and spectacular event for players and fans alike for the match at Dubai Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

The committee’s announcement came on Friday during a key meeting at the Dubai Police Officers Club, chaired by Major General Abdullah Ali Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs.

High-level safety

Al Ghaithi, along with other key figures including Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei and Khalid Al Zarooni, discussed the final preparations for securing the event. With both teams boasting large fanbases, the security strategy is designed to ensure the smooth running of the match, with high-level safety protocols inside and outside the stadium.

Major General Al Ghaithi highlighted the UAE’s growing reputation as a premier destination for international sporting events, attributing the success to the country’s forward-thinking leadership and investment in world-class infrastructure. “Our exceptional facilities, prime location, and comprehensive security plans are key to delivering an unforgettable experience,” he said.

India secured their spot in the final after a dominant victory over Australia, while New Zealand booked their place by defeating South Africa.
