Coutts still in doubt about taking part in showpiece

Russell Coutts, who sailed unbeaten through three straight America's Cup matches for two different countries, says he has not decided whether he will be aboard USA, the blazing fast trimaran that will represent American challenger BMW Oracle Racing against two-time defending champions Alinghi of Switzerland and their catamaran — Alinghi 5.

Race 1 of the best-of-three grudge match is scheduled for today.

Coutts said yesterday that he will sail if it helps make the boat move faster.

Otherwise, he said, he had his hands full running the campaign.
