Nagoya: Defending champions Brazil whipped wild card entrants Egypt to remain unbeaten in the World Grand Champions Cup men's volleyball tournament on Sunday.
The Beijing Olympic silver medallists, also the 2007 World Cup winners, powered their way through to a 25-21, 25-22, 25-22 victory in the six-team round robin competition.
"Egypt played a very good match. Their number four, Ahmad Abdul Hay, played one of his best games, so we had a tough time," Brazilian coach Bernardo Rezende said.
His team take on Japan on Monday.
