Doha The 15th Asian Games end tonight with the closing ceremony at the Khalifa Stadium in Doha.

China, as usual, have dominated the Games with 304 medals (160 gold, 81 silver and 63 bronze) until last evening.

Athletes will compete for medals until this afternoon. UAE have done well in the Asian Games. They won 10 medals, three gold, four silver and three bronze medals. The UAE karate men team failed to win a medal in the karate events held on Wednesday. The only medal won in the Asian Games karate for UAE was the silver medal won by Shaikha Maitha Bint Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum in the + 60kg category.

Mansour Aziz Ahmad of UAE lost to Rustam Tashnazarov of Uzbekistan in the kumite 70kg category pre-quarterfinals held at Qatar club indoor sports hall. Mohammad Al Mushrakh lost to Sang Ho Park from Korea in the kumite 60kg quarterfinals.

Fakhr Eddine Abdul Majid lost to Askar Baitleuov of Kazakhstan. Hussain Samir Juma lost to Talat Khalil of Jordan in the 75 kg category.

In cycling Badr Ali Shambih finished in the eighth place in the Men's track Keirin first round repechage.

In chess, UAE drew with Japan in the teams classical Swiss eighth round held on Wednesday.

UAE Grand Master Talib Mussa beat Nanjo Ryosuke of Japan but Abdullah Hasan Al Hammadi lost to Japan's Shinya Kojima. UAE's Noora Mohammad Saleh however drew with Emiko Nakagawa.

India, the gold medallists, maintained their top place with a win over Indonesia 2.5 - 0.5 point. India have 21 points and even if they lose in the ninth and last round, they will still be champions.
