Los Angeles: Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was among several coaches and players hit with fines following last weekend’s stormy battle with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the National Football League said.

Carroll has been fined $10,000 (Dh36,721) for improperly entering the field of play during the Seahawks’ ill-tempered loss in Jacksonville.

Jaguars offensive line coach Pat Flaherty and Jaguars receiver coach Keenan McCardell were also fined $10,000 for the same offence.

Two Seahawks players who were ejected from the game — Sheldon Richardson and Quinton Jefferson — were also hit with $9,115 fines for unnecessary roughness. Seahawks offensive lineman Germain Ifedi was fined $24,309 for verbal abuse of a referee.

Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette was fined $12,154 for unsportsmanlike conduct.
