UAE professional Mohammad Al Joker set the pace on the eighth day of the Skoda snooker championships by taking apart UAE teammate Rashid Shakaili in round four.

The climax of a quick encounter was the break of 75 by Joker to seal the match and he advanced to the round of 16 due at the weekend.

Three fellow teammates joined Joker in winning without the loss of a frame. Yahya Suwaidi overcame an out-of-touch Ahmad Shehab, team captain Obaid Khalifa trounced Mohammad Aziz and Salim Bin Dheeban mauled a nervous looking Zayed Al Mazroei.

Top UAE junior prospect Khalid Kamali saw his run in the event come to a close at the hands of Salim Ali Salim.

The comprehensive nature of the 3-0 scoreline reflected Salim Ali's sweet cueing and consistent standard, and he now awaits the his opponent in the last 16.

The Skoda Snooker Championships 2005 are being held in the Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club, and spectators are welcome to attend free of charge.
