Comedian and television host Ramesh Pisharody makes his directorial debut with Panchavarna Thatha [Five-coloured Parrot], a comedy that piqued interest with its trailer featuring Jayaram sporting an absolutely clean pate.
Kunchako Boban plays politician Kalesh who lacks the political acumen of his father. His wife (played by Anusree) and mother (played by Mallika Sukumaran) are convinced that he will lose in the re-election.
What happens when this MLA tries to oust a pet store owned by a simple man who values happiness to material pursuits?
Jayaram plays the animal lovers. Panchavarna Thatha is supported by producer Maniyanpillai Raju, Joju George, Salim Kumar and Tini Tom in key roles.
The film releases in the UAE on May 31.
