Calling all fans of Pakistani laugh riot Jawani Phir Nahi Ani. Here’s your chance to party and indulge in some celebrity-spotting as the stars to its sequel, Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Mawra Hocane, Kubra Khan, Vasay Chaudhry and Ahmad Ali Bhatt gear up to charm Dubai this weekend.
The glamorous gang will kick start their promotional tour of their Eid release by jumping aboard UAE’s floating hotel and partying with their fans on Queen Elizabeth 2. The stars are expected to arrive after 11pm on August 9, following an interaction with the local press that afternoon. Women and couples enter free, while men pay Dh100.
Their date with Dubai doesn’t end on Thursday.
On August 10, the Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 actors will also head to the Sharjah City Centre at 4.30pm to interact with their fans, followed by a visit to Vox Cinemas in City Centre Deira at 6pm, added the local event organiser Arsalan Rehman from Parallel Lines.
If waiting at crowded malls on weekends isn’t your thing, the talented set is also expected to hit the Barbecue Adda restaurant at Al Nahda around 7pm this Friday.
JPNA 2 is one of the most anticipated Pakistani films this Eid as its 2014 original had set the box-office on fire with its ribald humour about a bunch of men who head to Bangkok to escape their nagging partners.
While it opened to mixed reviews, the comedy was likened to a zany mix of films like Hangover and Dil Chahta Hai that explored the themes of bromance, bonding and friendship in a light-handed manner.
Currently, the team of JPNA 2 is in London promoting the film.
