Abu Dhabi: Burjeel Hospital Abu Dhabi has made all preparations for the arrival of Eman Ahmad Abdul Atti, an Egyptian who was called the ‘world’s heaviest woman’, on Thursday with the hospital set to treat her for one year.

Gulf News was given exclusive access to the hospital special room where Atti will be treated. She will be under the constant supervision of doctor specialists and nurses attending to her round the clock.

Her spacious room which is located on the fifth floor of the hospital has been fitted with widened entrance and bathroom doors, all of which were specifically built to accommodate her.

Hospital officials told Gulf News that the room has been fitted with a special and larger hospital bed for Atti to better suit her needs and comfort. Atti who at one point reportedly weighed more than 500 kilogrammes, will be underdoing her medical treatment in Abu Dhabi after her family fell into disagreements with the hospital in Mumbai.
