Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday (Tuesday) received a phone call from Mike Pompeo, US Secretary of State.

They discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and US, as well as issues of common concern.

The phone call touched on strategic cooperation and ways to consolidate it between the two nations, in addition to joint coordination in the efforts of both countries to combat extremism and terrorism.

Shaikh Mohammad and Pompeo spoke about ways to bolster security and stability, and achieve peace in the region, as well as developments in the Middle East and their repercussions on the security and stability of the region’s peoples.

They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.
