Dubai: Want to get your vaccine card but not sure where to check? As more and more people get fully vaccinated – by receiving both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine – you may need to submit a vaccine certificate in case you plan to travel or need to prove your vaccinated status for other purposes.

In the UAE, the vaccination campaign was rolled out by the UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention, along with Abu Dhabi’s Health Services Company Seha and Dubai Health Authority (DHA). So, if you have received a vaccine from a centre operated by any of these health authorities, here is how you can get a vaccine certificate.

Alhosn app

In March this year, it was announced that the Alhosn app would become the national vaccine registry.

The app now provides information on the vaccine doses that have been administered to you, as well as all the COVID-19 tests you have taken, whether PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) or DPI (Diffractive Phase Interferometry).

By logging in to the Alhosn app and registering using your Emirates ID, you will get details of the first and second dose you have received. If you wish to receive a certificate, you can use the share option, which is on the top right hand corner of the app, in the form of an arrow. The app will then give you the option to share the soft copy of your vaccination card via email or a messaging app.

Regardless of the health authority which administered the vaccine to you in the UAE, you will be able to get an official vaccine certificate from the Alhosn app.

MOHAP

If you were vaccinated at a Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) centre, the vaccination card is given at the vaccination centre, with the timings and dates of both the doses mentioned.

The card can be used as a proof of vaccination for travel purposes, as it has the MOHAP seal, which is stamped after the second dose is received.

Seha

If you received the vaccine through a health centre operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Co. Seha, you can download the vaccine certificate by following these steps:

• Download the Seha app

• Select ‘English’ as the language

• Choose ‘Other Seha services’

• Select COVID-19 reports

• Click on ‘View’ to download your COVID-19 Vaccination Report

DHA

If you received the vaccine through a health centre operated by Dubai Health Authority (DHA), you can download the vaccine certificate by following these steps:

• Download the DHA app

• Use your MRN number to log in to your account.

• Click on ‘COVID-19 Vaccination card’.

• The app will then provide you with the details of both the doses, with the option to download, in case you need a print out.

How to create a medical record number (MRN)

Your MRN number is required when booking your COVID-19 vaccine appointment. You can create one by:

1. Visiting the DHA website - www.dha.gov.ae

2. Following the direct link - bit.ly/MRN_E

Once you enter your Emirates ID number, you will receive a one-time password on your registered mobile number. Once you confirm, you will receive your MRN number on the website.
