    In an announcement on January 22, the Dubai Media Office issued update guidelines for COVID-19 precautions in the emirate. These included guidelines for social gatherings and eating out.

    Weddings, social gatherings Dubai’s Supreme Committee of Crisis and Disaster Management announced guidelines on social distancing and maximum number of people allowed at social events like weddings and private parties.

    Attendees must be limited to first-degree relatives.  The mandate applies for gatherings at a hotel or at a home.

    The rule goes into effect on January 27. Dubai Media Office also announced new guidelines for eating out, whether at a café or restaurant, and social distancing  measures at gyms in the emirate.
