Dubai’s Global Village to officially end this weekend – what to see and do before it closes

Dubai: Global Village, one of the UAE’s most popular family destinations, has announced the extension of its current season until Saturday, May 18. The news was confirmed on the attraction’s official social media channels on Sunday, May 11.

Opening hours for final week

To mark the extension, Global Village has also adjusted its opening hours. For the final few days of the season, the park will remain open from 4pm to 1am.

Special offers extended until closing

Global Village has confirmed that all recently launched promotions will continue until the end of the season. These include:

  • Kids Go Free – Children under the age of 12 can enter the park free of charge.

  • Carnaval Offer – Unlimited rides in the Carnaval area for just Dh50.

  • Golden Bar Challenge – Visitors can attempt to lift a golden bar from a box for a chance to win Dh2,900 in cash, part of a total prize pool of Dh87,000.

What to expect during the final days

Guests are encouraged to make the most of the last few days to enjoy shopping for unique items from around the world, sampling dishes from over 250 dining outlets, watching live entertainment on the Main Stage and Kids’ Theatre, and enjoying the rides and attractions in areas like Carnaval, Exo Planet City, and Neon Galaxy – Challenge Zone.

Season 29 began on October 16, 2024, and has since welcomed millions of visitors. From its modest beginnings in 1997 as a cluster of retail kiosks, Global Village has evolved into one of Dubai’s flagship seasonal attractions. This season features over 90 cultures represented across 30 pavilions, along with more than 175 rides, games, and attractions, celebrating global diversity and entertainment for all ages.

Ticket prices and what’s included

Tickets are available online via the official website: www.globalvillage.ae

  • Dh25 – Weekday ticket (Sunday to Thursday, excluding public holidays)

  • Dh30 – Any day ticket

  • Free entry – For children under 12, senior citizens over 60, and People of Determination

Entry includes access to:

  • Over 30 country-themed pavilions

  • The Emirati Heritage Area

  • More than 200 cultural performances daily

  • Shows at the Kids’ Theatre featuring popular children’s characters

Getting there: Location and transport

Global Village is easily accessible by car via Exit 37 on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) or Emirates Road (E611).

  • Free general parking is available across zones P1 to P12

  • A rickshaw service is available from the car park to the main gate, starting at Dh5 per person

Public transport options: RTA bus service (Dh10)
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) provides dedicated bus routes to Global Village for a flat fare of Dh10.

  • Route 102 – Rashidiya Bus Station (every 60 minutes)

  • Route 103 – Union Bus Station (every 40 minutes)

  • Route 104 – Al Ghubaiba Bus Station (every 60 minutes)

  • Route 106 – Mall of the Emirates Bus Station (every 60 minutes)
