    Charitable activities in the UAE are regulated by Federal Decree-Law No. 3 of 2021 on Regulating Donations, which stipulates the rules and guidelines that should be adhered to when raising funds.

    Not only does the law protect contributors against exploitation, it also ensures that the donations reach the intended beneficiaries.

    On August 3, the UAE’s Ministry of Community Development (MOCD) raised awareness on the fines and penalties that people face, if they fail to adhere to these regulations, by posting a video on their official Twitter page.
