Showbiz Philippines brings you all the latest gossip on your favourite celebrity.

Precious axed from Wowowee

Precious Lara Quigaman was axed from Wowowee by host Willie Revillame for coming with her boyfriend.

Wowowee, a noontime variety and game show, continues to be hounded by controversy after Precious Lara Quigaman, Miss International 2005, was axed from the
intrigue-plagued show.

According to sources, the beauty queen was fired from the show when she brought her boyfriend to the programme's filming in Hawaii.

Insiders say programme host Willie Revillame was miffed because he's long admired Quigaman, who has, of course, rejected all his advances. Quigaman contends her
boyfriend paid for her trip and accommodation and should therefore not be used as a reason for her removal from the show.

We spoke to some employees of the noontime programme, but they would not confirm anything.

Hermosa acting like a diva

Kristine Hermosa finally spoke up about rumours about her causing a lot of problems for the cast and crew of her TV programme Prinsesa ng Banyera.

There have been nasty stories about how difficult Hermosa is on the set — acting like a diva and throwing tantrums.

Her handlers at Star Magic rebuffed journalist Dolly Anne Carvajal by saying all's well among the cast and crew. However, Carvajal was forced to reveal her source after the
talent management arm of ABS CBN, who earlier called popular columnist Alfie Lorenzo a bitter old man pretending to be a journalist, put her credibility on the line.

Carvajal's source was actually the programme's director, who was allegedly so disgusted with Hermosa's behaviour that he didn't even attend the programme's last day of
recording.

Rustom and Robin Padilla to work in action series

Brothers Rustom and Robin Padilla might soon be working together in a new action series on the Kapuso network.

Robin will start filming a fantasy action programme after his current hit series, Joaquin Bordado, ends in July.

Rustom studied filmmaking in UCLA and is in the pre-production stage of his controversial biopic.

The former matinee idol is best remembered for declaring his sexual preference on national TV, a move that put the family in distress.
