Reluctant to admit the most inappropriate thing he's ever done on stage so far, rapper Flo Rida should have been a salesman.

"I couldn't possibly comment on the worst thing I've done on stage," he told tabloid!.

"But all I will say is don't miss my show this weekend. You never know what's gonna happen."

The Grammy Award-nominated artist says he is "pumped" to be returning to the Middle East following a successful debut here this time last year.

Set to dazzle his fans again, the Florida-born rapper will launch the XL Beach Club at the Habtoor Grand Resort and Spa on Saturday in conjunction with "agent to the stars" Mike Esterman.

Struggling to get a record contract for many years after leaving college to pursue a career in the music business, Flo Rida is most famous for his hit single Low.

tabloid! threw a few questions his way ahead of the show.

Who would you most like to collaborate with and why?

Outkast — I really like their vibe and creativity.

Is there any artist you think is not worth a place in this musical decade?

I think every artist deserves a spot in our industry, as long as they're putting their heart and soul into their records.

What inspired you to work with the young UAE artist S1? Have you learnt anything from him?

Ah man, it was a great experience. I always try to broaden my horizons by working with talented artists from other countries, like S1. He has a great sound and we made a hot record. When we shot the video, we had a lot of fun. He is doing his thing and he's going to be very successful. Big shout out to S1.

What are you working on now?

Right now I am going really hard in the studio working on part two of my album. It's called Only 1 Rida, dropping this autumn.

Any regrets?

No, I put my all in everything I do. So as long as I know I truly do my best every day, that's all I can ask of myself.

If you had to choose another job, what would it be?

I would be an entrepreneur in the entertainment industry. I've always been a go-getter and serious about my business. For me, it's about ownership.

Describe the least appealing backstage dressing room you've ever had?

One time I had a mobile dressing room that had a restroom attached to it. I'm talking about the portable rest-rooms you see at construction sites. It wasn't as clean as I thought it should be. Crazy, that's all I'll say.

Who would you hire to DJ/sing at your 50th birthday?

David Guetta — he's killing it right now. He's a very cool and very talented artist. Plus, I plan on rocking out and being the Party King until I'm old and grey.

If you had to explain to an old maths teacher what you do for a living, what would you say?

I would say that I use the power of music to touch people from all over the world. I give 150 per cent in entertaining my fans on stage. I love my fans. They are a blessing.

What is your ultimate dream as an artist?

To make music that not only entertains but inspires people to be better.

What is your worst fear as an artist?

I think every artist's fear is not being hot and relevant any more. I make sure I push myself to make a big hit, so that we keep my movement going.

Any superstitions before a gig? What would you check?

Not really. I just say a prayer with my team and got out there and kill 'em!

Don't miss it!
