Nihan Junaid, a 10th grade student at Indian High School in Dubai, gives us her list

1. Get up early. Five days of slaving away and still be up by 8am? I don't think so.
2. Take your brother for a walk. I don't mean to sound unenthusiastic, but I'm very happy in this stuffy, unhygienic environment, thank you very much.
3. Clean my room. Much as mom may disagree, housework is not something I'd like to do on a Friday. Or just about any other day, for the record.
4. Have a ‘quick' shower. Dad's sarcastic comment when I finally leave the bathroom after an hour-long shower? Touché.
5. Study. Can anyone think of something more uninteresting? I can't.
6. Eat in. Fridays mean eating out. Enough said.
7. Do the laundry. I'm sure it can wait a day or two. I mean, running out of clean socks isn't as big a catastrophe as all that.
8. Help out. Doing your sibling's homework because he's sure I'd do a much better job than him. You flatter me, but no.
9. Did I mention that it doesn't get any worse than being forced to complete pending school work? I believe Saturdays were invented for that very purpose.
10. Entertain the kids. Having to look after younger siblings while your parents are busy with chores? Lovely.
