But first, are they or aren't they? tabloid! can finally reveal Roxette is definitely coming to Dubai. A month of speculation has seen them coming to the Emirate one day and not the next.
Along with tracks from the new album, Charm School, which is out in the UAE on February 14, Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle will perform all the favourites here on May 20. The chances this would ever happen looked slim when Fredriksson was diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2002. But she managed to defeat the illness, and in 2009 things came together after she and Gessle were reunited on stage to perform It Must Have Been Love and The Look during Per's Party Crasher tour in Amsterdam. Tickets go on sale on Sunday for Boy George, Carlisle, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Paul Young, The Real Thing and Curiosity Killed the Cat, who all feature in the 10th anniversary Here and Now Tour concert, which takes place at Meydan on April 7.
The phenomenally successful '80s nostalgia concerts have been pivotal in continuing the popularity of the decade's music, keeping favourite icons performing for fans around the world.

Last but not least, this week we've had news Mike Skinner, aka British rapper The Streets, will perform in Dubai on March 18 as part of a new concert series at Barasti aimed at bringing young musical talent to the city.
The series, called Livin' The Music, will start on February 25 with an acoustic performance by Starsailor frontman James Walsh and US pop star Eric Hutchinson. Tickets, priced Dh225, are available at livinthemusicdubai.com.
