From her signature walk to shy, innocent smile, the socialite heiress is exactly as you'd imagine - Paris Hilton.

Faultlessly trained to hold a pout, a pose and purse, Paris Hilton flopped onto a big leather seat after touching down at Dubai International Airport.

"I'm really excited to be here," she told airport officials who escorted her from the gate.

More commonly tracked by herds of cut-throat photographers, Hollywood's most-watched woman looked surprised as Dubai's answer to the paparazzi - just two photographers - relentlessly snapped her every move.

Pigtails hanging down under a black peaked hat, the 28-year-old, here to film season four of her hit television show Paris Hilton's Best Friend Forever, Dubai made her way into the Al Majlis VIP Suite at the Dubai Airport Expo.

Staff travelling with Hilton rushed around in her wake organising luggage, security and drivers with an almost desperate urgency.

"Everything has to run smoothly," said one woman in a floor-length print dress while another cursed and scrambled around the floor to pick up dropped room cards for the InterContinental Hotel in Dubai.

A convoy of black Dodge Escalades with heavily tinted windows were skillfully manoeuvred with military precision. A further row of champagne-coloured vehicles waited, engines running.

The luggage came first and the panic levels started to raise. Staff stood by and discussed their shock at the lack of matching pink pieces as black and silver hard cases were ferried by streams of attendants.

The EK216 direct from LA landed 15 minutes late. Hilton, her two friends, bodyguards and working team waited until the rest of the passengers were safely through passport control before the heiress made her entrance.

Filming and taking photographs of the film crew and Gulf News photographer on her walk from gate 125 to the private shuttle, Hilton said she wanted to document her trip to the region. Less than two hours later the first pictures were already on her Twitter page.

Cars with flashing lights and indicators zoomed air side until Hilton was delivered to the lounge. There was a quick security check of a number of carry-on bags, including a brown fur bag with gold buckle from her own Paris Hilton collection, and she was officially declared in the UAE.

"I'd love to go to the desert," she said, making sure she also expressed her concerns about the heat, saying maybe she should go at night when it's cooler.

No shocks, no surprises. Hilton was exactly as you'd imagine. To the point where you could be watching the footage of her arrival and probably match it to that of her touching down at any international airport in the world.

The walk is signature. It's slow and calm as if trying not to mess up her hair. The smile is slight - easily confused with forced - and the stance is tall, confident with that oh-so-Paris hint of shy and innocent.

Emirates Airlines and the Dubai International Airport did something right, as the A-lister heavily praised both, saying the facilities were like being in a hotel.

"It's like nothing I've seen before."

Checking herself in the full-length mirror in the lift was a must. With her hat and hair rearranged, she was fascinated by a small traditional majilis in the reception area.

"This is so cute, can I sit in it?" she asked.

She may be renowned for her diva-like tendencies but her manners were certainly present. Sipping Arabic coffee, looking as if she wasn't too sure, she said: "It's like a mixture of tea and coffee".

Paris' cup was turned over as soon as a waiter - incorrectly - told her to do so to say she'd enough, causing the small crowd and entourage to burst out laughing.

Happily allowing lounge staff to take pictures, Hilton then made her way to the car before getting straight onto her Blackberry for some Twitter time.

"Dubai is Hot! Literally Hot! It's almost 10pm here and its 90 degrees out," came first, followed closely by "Everyone here in Dubai is so nice and polite. I feel so welcomed and happy to be here."

Arriving at Dubai Festival City's InterContinental Hotel, the heiress was presented with a bouquet of white lilies before being taken to her luxury suite.

Seeing Hilton in the UAE is exactly like seeing Hilton on your television (or PC, or mobile phone ) screen.

'She will be open to experience everything'

He follows Paris Hilton like a shadow and now he's tracking her next potential love, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Following the famous footballer from club to club, including Eva Longoria's BESO and Villa in the exclusive Beverly Hills district, Sheeraz Hasan, founder of Hollywood.tv, watched the pair as they partied at MyHouse club.

A longtime family friend of the Hiltons, it was Hasan who first sowed the seed of a trip to Dubai for Paris more than 12 months ago when he secured a one-on-one exclusive interview at her Malibu mansion.

"I've always had connections in Dubai and I knew she'd just love it," he said.

Having now arrived in Dubai Hasan, who speaks to the heiress on a daily basis, says Paris was excited to be finally coming.

"She will be open to experience everything it has to offer. The business opportunities, glamour, hotels, shopping malls, night life, learning about the Muslim culture but mainly to meet the people of Dubai and Abu Dhabi."

With Paris safely in the UAE, Hasan is now following Ronaldo. "He is currently at Villa, a club in LA."

So how does Hasan think Hilton will cope with the heat?

"I'm sure Paris will customise her wardrobe to the local culture and you may even see her in a hijab," he said. "But if she ends up going to Plastic then I will leave it to the readers' imagination."
