‘Goldens in Golden’ is an annual event that started in 2019, in Golden, Colorado
It’s not every day you get to witness hundreds, let alone thousands, of dogs gathering for an event. But in Golden, Colorado, that happens every year.
‘Goldens in Golden’, the annual event which began in 2019, saw around 3,000 Golden Retrievers at the event this year, on February 8, 2025.
The annual event was created to boost winter tourism while bringing together dog lovers from all over.
The organisers of the event said only 'leashed, friendly, and trained' Golden Retrievers were allowed with their humans. From photo booths to a merchandise booth and more, the event saw Golden Retrievers dressed in different outfits.
It was also announced that while this event is a celebration of Golden Retrievers, “nobody is ‘checking IDs’.” And that any leashed, trained and friendly dog is allowed.
