Here’s an array of festive delights inspired by the colours of the UAE flag to add to your National Day celebrations
Indulge in cake pops themed after the UAE’s culture and traditions or donuts glazed in the UAE flag colours. These mini cake pops (scooped out of a huge cake) are available in a dozen flavours and can be ordered in bulk. Prices range from Dh12 to Dh20.
What better way to celebrate National Day than having some traditional Emirati food? Mama Tani café in Downtown which serves authentic Emirati food has designed a special edition ‘flag cake’ which will be available during the N-Day holidays for Dh120 a dozen.
The French patisserie is offering visitors a choice of curated desserts. Apart from its bestselling desserts, you will find camel milk cakes, themed macaroons and rose cheesecake as part of its National Day menu which is available until December 30.
How about a ‘flag biryani’? Created exclusively for the 46th UAE N-Day the dish is available from November 30 to December 2. Served in clay pots, it is priced Dh41 for chicken and Dh46 for lamb.
The mini pizza here is bursting with ‘national pride’. Made with fresh ingredients, it comes complimentary with a main pizza. Made with tomatoes, olives, feta cheese and cilantro, it is available from November 30 to December 2.
Try some colourful macaroons served with chaat-flavoured filling. The unique savoury will be offered for free to all guests dining at Jodhpur during the National Day weekend.
The newly opened Italian-Mexican fusion restaurant is serving up a unique treat: the hazelnut mousse. The melt-in-your-mouth delicacy comes with caramel popcorn and rich Belgian chocolate ice cream. Price: Dh49.
Enjoy a set of four sliders in red, black, green and white buns. The “UAE Flag Day sliders” were introduced earlier this month to mark Flag Day and are available at its branches until the National Day weekend. Prices start from Dh16.
