From Downtown fireworks to desert calm, here’s how to welcome 2026 in Dubai your way.

Dubai: Seven weeks to go until the clock strikes midnight and Dubai lights up to welcome 2026.
If you haven’t made plans yet, don’t worry. Whether you stay in Dubai or will be visiting during the night of celebrations, there’s plenty happening across the city. From dazzling fireworks and concerts to family fun and desert escapes, here are five ways to spend the last night of the year in style.
Nothing says Dubai quite like fireworks bursting over the skyline. The Burj Khalifa will once again take centre stage as lights, lasers and colour fill the sky above Downtown Dubai. Head to Dubai Mall early to grab a spot at the Fountain promenade, or book a restaurant with a front-row view.
Other great viewing spots include Bluewaters Island ,Burj Al Arab, Dubai Festival City Mall and Atlantis, The Palm. Wherever you go, expect a show worth staying up for.
If you fancy something more glamorous, Atlantis Dubai is hosting its famous Gala Dinner Under the Stars. This year’s headliner: Global pop icons Maroon 5.
Set on a custom-built open-air deck with sweeping views of Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai skyline, the night will be filled with world-class cuisine, Champagne and live music. When midnight hits, look up to see one of Dubai’s most spectacular fireworks displays lighting up the water.
For something more relaxed and family-friendly, Expo City Dubai is the place to be. Al Wasl Plaza will come alive with music, light and laughter as families gather for two countdowns: One at 9pm for children and the big one at midnight.
Expect confetti blasts, a special children's playlist and mesmerising projections on the Al Wasl Dome. The night continues with a live DJ and a sky full of fireworks to welcome 2026 in true Dubai style. While you're there also enjoy the Winter City at Expo, a ticket for New Year’s Eve includes admission to the Winter City event at Expo City Dubai.
Looking for a quieter way to say goodbye to 2025? The Dubai desert offers peace, stars and a completely different kind of celebration.
Choose from desert safari packages that include live entertainment, food and even fireworks. You can stay overnight beneath the stars or head back to the city in time for the countdown. Either way, it’s an unforgettable way to start the new year.
For a breath of fresh air, ring in the new year in Hatta. Surrounded by the Hajar Mountains, this outdoor haven is perfect for anyone who loves nature and adventure. Spend the day mountain biking, kayaking or hiking at Hatta Wadi Hub, then slow down to explore Hatta Fort and the Heritage Village.
Stay overnight in a mountain resort or camp beneath the stars and wake up to the first sunrise of 2026 surrounded by nature.
