What Did You Expect From The Vaccines? , The Vaccines
Rating 4/5
Not only are this Brit indie band silencing whispers that guitar music is dead, they're also striking the right balance between get-up-and-go hits and songs that make you want to mope around thinking about the one that got away. Highlights on the London-based four piece's album include the moody, relationship-focused hit A Lack Of Understanding and the catchy, drum-heavy thumper If You Wanna. We think we've met the Brit answer to The Strokes.

House Therapy, Dr Anas vs Kale
Rating 3/5
Hot off the decks of the biggest clubbing spots in the world - Miami, Ibiza and St Tropez - house DJing duo, Dr Anas and Kale have a new UAE exclusive release that features original mixes, with Karol XVII and MB Valence's Muzikk and Waifs and Strays' Be Patient two of the standouts on the double CD. They've also included mixes by big names in house, including DJ Flore and AgentQ's mix of Dr Anas' own Keys Of Love. Worth a listen to get a feel for the emerging local music scene.

On A Mission, Katy B
Rating 4/5
Katy B may have been making waves in her native England for a year, and she's far from your cookie-cut pop princess. On this album you'll catch an effortless mix of R'n'B, dubstep, garage and drum'n'bass, all intertwined with her distinctive vocal sound. Our fave track on the album has to be the thumping, synth-heavy title track, Katy On A Mission as well as the reggae-style offering featuring Ms Dynamite, Light's On. If you caught Katy at last November's Creamfields in Abu Dhabi, you'll know she's a future star, and one to watch.
