It keeps getting better for supercar fans. Now that you’ve read all about the mad McLaren P1, here’s a bit about the upcoming Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. Our spy was playing ‘I spy’ when the Wild Bull roared past and he managed to get a few snaps of the highly anticipated LP 700-4.

The major difference between the regular (if you can call a 6.5-litre V12 with 700bhp and a 0-100kph dash of just 2.9seconds regular…) and this prototype is clearly the removable panels on the roof. The targa top harks back to the Eighties when they were all the rage. We just hope these don’t leak as bad in the rain.

Whether there will be space in the car to store the panels or if you’ll have to leave them home, Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport style, is still unclear. To keep it rigid, the Roadster will no doubt, feature a modified carbon fibre monocoque, B-pillars and chassis.
