Hindi music album review
Janne Tu Ya ... Jaane Na
Various Artistes
Music composer A R Rahman attempts to
explore the varied moods of the young and restless new generation through his music in his latest release.
This is understandable as Jaane Tu Ya ... Jaane Na is a romantic drama set among college graduates. Accompanied by catchy beats and guitar riffs, singer Rashid Ali kickstarts with Kabhi Kabhi – a pleasant song on the various facets of love.
Several mellow romantic songs such as Jaane Tu Mera Kya Hai (by Runa), Tu Bole (by A.R. Rahman), Nazaren Milana Nazren Churana ( by Benny, Satish, Sayonara, Darshana, Swetha, Bhargavi and Anupama), Kahin To (by Rashid Ali and Vasundhara Das) and Jaane Tu Meri Kya Hai (by Sukhvinder Singh) follow suit. Almost every song is based on newfound love, but not one makes a lasting impression. T
he song that grabs one's attention is Pappu Can't Dance. This is a robust track which uses college lingo to great effect. Given Rahman's lofty standards, Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na remains mediocre fare.
