Mere Baap Pehle Aap (OST)
Various Artistes
Composer Vidyasagar comes up with a host of peppy, but ultimately forgettable, situational songs such as Mere Baap Pahle Aap (by Sangeet Haldipur), Shamma Shamma (by Sunidhi Chauhan) and Ishq Subhan Allah (by Neeraj Shridhar and Alisha Chinoy) for this soundtrack. The two romantic duets by Shaan (the Shreya Ghoshal duet Maine Hawa Ke Paron Pe and Alka Yagnik duet Jaana Hai Tujhko) are the top tracks.

Mehbooba (OST)
Various Artistes
Don't be surprised if the songs on Afzan Khan's Mehbooba soundtrack sound a bit dated – the film was lying in the cans for quite a while.

Even so, the album's composer Ismail Darbar does manage to create some interesting tunes and songs such as Sonu Nigam's Kuchh Kar Lo (which also has a version by playback singer Kavita Krishnamurthy ) and Udit Narayan's Tu Meri Mehbooba, Dilruba and Khwabon Ki Rani.

Limited Edition: Pure Gold
Hemant Kumar

This excellent compilation picks some of Hemant Kumar's most romantic and sentimental numbers from the 1950s and '60s.

The tracks featured include Jaane Woh Kaise, Beqarar Karke Hamein, Yeh Raat Yeh Chaandni, Yeh Nayan Dare Dare, Ganga Aaye Kahan Se and Raah Bani Khud Manzil. Truly, this album is pure gold and a must-buy for all Kumar fans.
