Mr Mohammad Ali of Dubai says:

I got a call from etisalat e-life department and they told me that they are upgrading my Al Shamil connection to e-life.

They will offer me 8MB speed and plus 20 minutes of telephone calls, etc. However, they informed me that within the next 2 to 3 months if I do not opt for this service, I would be forced to take it and pay double than what I am paying today for my Al Shamil connection and telephone lines.

I said if you want to upgrade by all means but why do you want me to pay more? The answer was because they were offering me so many features.

I said I am not interested in more speed and features as I am happy with my current position but the answer was sorry you have to upgrade, do it now or be forced to 3 months later.

The management of etisalat responds:

Kindly be informed that Mr Ali has been contacted and provided with a full explanation about e-life service.

Mr Ali responds:

Thanks this is true. They have confirmed to me that the Al Shamil service will never be discontinued and etisalat will not force customers to change over.
