It's dark near Shaikh Rashid colony
The Shaikh Rashid Colony in Al Qusais comprises many old, long-established buildings and there are hundreds of families residing in the colony.
Despite this fact, there are no street lights between the buildings, which causes the area to become pitch dark during the night. It causes a great deal of worry and concern, especially on the part of female residents.
I hope such issues are neither overlooked nor neglected. The situation in the colony has remained the same for a year or so now, and no action has been taken.
Once the issue is sorted out, I am sure residents in the area would feel more comfortable venturing outdoors during the evening hours.
The only dim lights we are able to see are those from inside the buildings. I urge the authorities to install lights along the streets or near residential areas.
