Broken lamposts in Sharjah remain an eye sore

Gulf News reader K. Gopakumar took this picture, while visiting the Sharjah Biennial area, to highlight the need for immediate repairs. He said: “It has been weeks since the lamp posts in the accompanying photo were broken during heavy winds and a storm, and yet no one seems to care enough to take remedial measures. They are an eye sore and I hope the concerned authorities will do the needful to rectify this problem. The damaged posts can be seen by anyone who visits the heritage area of Sharjah, including tourists.”
