Abu Dhabi Festival announces Sergio Mendes

The classical event will run between March 1 and April 2 in its 12th edition

Abu Dhabi Festival (ADF) has announced the first of its classical acts for the coming year, gracing the stage between March 1 and April 2 at the festival’s 12th edition.

ADF will host Brazilian jazz star Sergio Mendes and the Italian youth orchestra, Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, which will be led by its founder and conductor, Riccardo Muti, with featured soloist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

“We are truly delighted to be welcoming these stunning artists as we further celebrate Abu Dhabi Festival’s pivotal role in nurturing cultural exchange and artistic innovation. By bringing the world to Abu Dhabi, we believe it is important to go beyond mere entertainment and demonstrate the transformative power of music, while reflecting the Festival’s core values of mutual respect and tolerance,” said Hoda I. Al Khamis-Kanoo, founder of the Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation.
