Eid desserts are too good to resist, from the syrup-drenched baklava, the perfectly chewy maamoul, and that trifle, someone always brings to your home. But this Eid Al Adha, TikTok is reimagining tradition, with dessert hacks that are lighter, cleverer, and still totally indulgent. So if you want to have your dates and eat them too, minus the sugar crash and bloating, these viral tweaks might just be your Eid sweet table upgrade.

1) Healthy pistachio halva

Craving something sweet for Eid that doesn’t leave you in a sugar coma? This no-cook pistachio halva has all the rich, creamy flavour without the heaviness. No refined sugar, no long prep, just pure, satisfying indulgence.

You’ll need:

  • 200g Medjool dates (or any soft, sticky variety)

  • 180ml tahini

  • ½ tsp ground cardamom (optional, but worth it)

  • A pinch of salt

  • 20g pistachios, roughly chopped

What to do:

  1. Add the dates, tahini, cardamom, and salt to a food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  2. Transfer the mixture into silicone moulds or press it into a loaf tin lined with baking paper.

  3. Top with chopped pistachios.

  4. Freeze for an hour, then slice into squares or pop out of the moulds.

The result: A creamy, nutty, naturally sweet halva with zero added sugar and maximum flavour. It’s the perfect treat to balance out those rich Eid desserts, without feeling like you’re missing out.

2) Pistachio-filled dates

Pistachio-filled dates are a simple, naturally sweet treat made by stuffing soft dates with crushed pistachios. Rich in fibre, healthy fats, and plant-based protein, they make a quick and elegant Eid dessert or snack, no added sugar needed.
