More than 70 unique art works from 120 countries will be on display. All are priced below Dh15,000.

2. Exhibitions

A total of 23 exhibitions will run simultaneously during the two-day fest at Al Serkal Avenue, Crate Hub Gallery and Total Arts located in Al Quoz.

3. Pet Pampering Sessions

For the first time ever, pet pampering facilities will be available on premises. Shampooch, a Dubai-based pet grooming company, will cater to all your dog needs from nail arts to haircuts. They are also offering a 25 per cent discount on all their services during the festival.

4. Make your own chocolate for free

Dubai-based Mirzam chocolate makers will allow visitors to create their own chocolate bar at the venue for free using fresh cocoa beans, cane sugar and cocoa butter.

5. Workshops Galore

The festival will host a range of workshops all through the weekend. From cushion-making to acting classes there is something for everyone. There will also be an interior design talk on both days by experts from Boo-Burys, the high-end furniture store. A special geometry workshop is also on the cards.

6. Become a Unicorn

Relive your fantasy as you step into The Happy Studio, a unique concept store at Al Serkal Avenue. The place is right out of a dream and it rents out Unicorn onesies for visitors.

7. Outdoor Cinema

Award winning movies including Ghost Hunting and Kite Runner will be screened at The Yard. The entry to the cinema is free for all. Serge Attukwei Clottey’s The Displaced will be screened on Friday, January 26 at 2pm in Space Cinema Room.

8. Live performances

Iranian band Tehran Vocal Ensemble will be performing in the UAE for the first time at the Arts Fest. Known for Persian acapella music, the band has planned something special for its debut show here. The show will be held on January 27 at 7.30pm at The Fridge.

9. Games and competitions

The festival has lined up an interesting mix of fun games for both kids and adults. These include talking story-telling competition, food games, tug-of-war and board games.

10. Good Vibes Market

As many as 11 food trucks will be there besides culinary concepts in The Yard by HAPI. You will also find fresh handmade coffee from Nightjar and lots of quirky things to shop for at the gourmet style market.
