Loona seems to be a favourite in the UAE. On August 7, the Korean girl group released their much-anticipated debut single favOriTe as a 12-member group and they’ve already taken over the iTunes chart locally and globally.
The rookie girl act’s dance track debuted on the UAE iTunes Top Songs chart at No 10 and No 1 on iTunes’ K-Pop Charts in England, Singapore, Canada, Philippines and the USA, as well as on the Pop Chart in four countries.
Their music video also surpassed 1 million views in just 19 hours on YouTube.
Since October 2016, Loona’s label Blockberry Creative has been introducing the members individually through solos and albums from sub-units: Loona 1/3, Odd Eye Circle, and Loona yyxy,
As their official debut nears, their fans, who are called Orbits, are looking forward to seeing the 12 members — JinSoul, Heejin, Choerry, Yves, Hyunjin, Olivia Hye, Haseul, Yeojin, Kim Lip, Chuu, ViVi and Go Won — in full formation on stage at their debut concert titled LOONAbirth on August 19 in Seoul.
