If you have watched Tamil Padam made in 2010 by director CS Amudhan, you know what to expect in this sequel. Siva with his straight face kept us in splits then and one hopes that we are regaled again.

On July 10, director Amudhan posted a link to a deleted scene from the movie that had to be removed due to technical issues.

The link gives a sneak peek into what’s in store. Siva in a makeover that reminds us of Kamal Haasan from Thevar Magan meets a crowd of people waiting outside his house. Their woes range widely: a 25 per cent Goods and Service Tax imposed on the sale of goats, the construction of a dam, the refusal of a US visa, Apple employees in India... he is even concerned about the welfare of the cows and the lone bull in his house. Don’t miss the dig on the Jallikattu issue.

Amudhan on his debut did not spare anyone and included popular and much appreciated films while lampooning Tamil cinema. With this sequel he goes at it again. Tamizh Padam, produced by Y Not Studios, releases in the UAE on July 12.
