Mammootty to thrill again in ‘Abrahaminte Santhathikal’
Actor plays a policeman on the hunt for a murderer
The less you know about an investigative thriller, the more fun it is as you try to figure out who did it.
Malayalam film Abrahaminte Santhathikal will keep you engaged, says director Shaji Padoor. He is a man of few words when it comes to his film. The film’s scenarist Haneef Adeni doesn’t want to reveal much either.
All we know is that this story is that veteran star Mammootty plays Derek Abraham, a police officer who is pursuing a murder mystery.
Padoor, a long-time associate of director Joshy, said that this is unlike Mammootty’s earlier policeman roles.
“In this investigative story, his emotional life is intertwined into the story. It’s not just another case,” he said.
Kaniha plays a public prosecutor. The supporting cast includes Renji Panicker, Siddique, Anson Paul and Suresh Krishna.
Abrahaminte Santhathikal, which was shot in Ernakulam, releases in the UAE on June 21.
