"Earn money the hard way: Steal it", was the opening line that greeted the viewers who came to watch the highly-publicised multi-starrer Cash. So far, so good. Even the title song featuring svelte Esha Deol and Shamita Shetty gyrating to the beats of ‘Cash on my mind/making money all the time' was fun. But what came next resembled a juvenile game with a bunch of delinquents as its key players. Stealing diamonds seemed like child's play, the police officers seemed like a bunch of morons and the film felt like a potpourri with scenes lifted straight from Dhoom, Oceans 11/12 or 13, Reservoir Dogs and Kaante.

Many felt that the saving grace of the film was the snappy dialogues between Shania (Shetty) and conman Doc (Ajay Devgan). The use of animation in action sequences was panned universally.

Director Anubav Sinha's efforts to make his film resemble a Hollywood venture seemed like it was suffering from a severe identity crisis.

For instance, the well-built heroines breaking into songs in between a heist was laughable. In fact, criminals and law enforcers may even be offended by the callous way in which thefts have been portrayed in this film. Place your cash on this at your own risk was the verdict.
