Entertainment Plus: How was it doing serious cinema?
Bipasha Basu: It is my first experience. And it was a big change professionally. But the shoot was not serious at all. We were one big family.

And Ajay was always playing pranks. When John [Abraham] got misti [a type of sweetmeat] from Mumbai, the crew wouldn't have it as hey had already been treated to bhang pedas [a sweet] by Ajay! And this is just one experience. And the band incident on my first day of shoot was just the unexpected!

Why did you decide to take on the role of Megha in Apaharan?
Apaharan is a socially relevant film, that ?s gripping and hard-hitting. I play a medical student Megha, Ajay Devgan's conscience. And my look is serious in the film. I wear salwar khameez or jeans with a kurta. And the reason I did the film was simply due to the relevance of the film.

How was it working with National Award winners Ajay Devgan and Nana Patekar?
Ajay kept us in splits. He kept cooking up stories and telling tales that did not exist just to enjoy our reactions. Nana and I never had a scene together. When I met him for the first time off-screen, we ate green grams together.
