The 'Residence' aboard Etihad has now partnered with Sennheiser for their noise-cancelling sound technology for travellers looking for the ultimate entertainment experience

We in Dubai are no strangers to uber-luxurious cabins in commercial aircrafts. However, Etihad's luxury 'cabin' or suite trumps all our luxury travel expectations with its size and comfort.

Aptly named the 'Residence', the cabin is essentially a three-room suite with a lounge/living room, bathroom with a shower and a separate bedroom. The private double bedroom features a bedside table, two personal storage drawers and a full length wardrobe, and is certified for two guests.

You obviously need to keep yourself entertained and so there are two gigantic televisions in the cabin, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, accompanied by sound-cancelling headphones, courtesy of Sennheiser.

What is a luxury flying experience without a butler? A VIP concierge service, including a butler, is on call throughout the flight. Housed in their A380, the Residence is available on flights to and from five major cities; Abu Dhabi, New York, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne and London.

This private-jet experience on a commercial aircraft could put you back anywhere from Dh18,000 to more than Dh120,000, depending on where you're going.
