We all know that laughter is the best medicine, but can too much of a good thing actually be bad? PseudoBulbar Affect (PBA) is a condition that causes sudden and frequent bouts of uncontrollable crying and/or laughing. It can happen in people with a brain injury or certain neurological conditions. Patients suffering from PBA may cry even when they are not feeling sad or laugh even if they don’t experience anything funny.
