Ingredients
1 cup lentils
2 cups rice, or burghul
Salt, pepper
2 onions
2 tbsp ghee or oil (1/2 corn oil & 1/2 vegetable oil)
2 ½ cups water
Method
1. Boil the lentils for 1/2 hour. Wash the rice and add to the lentils. Add salt and pepper. Cook for 1/2 hour.
2. Fry the chopped onions, cut horizontally, with oil till brown. Pour this over the rice. Serve with yoghurt.
