Less than a year after giving birth to her daughter, Bollywood actress Esha Deol is back on the big screen with a short film CakeWalk in which she plays a pastry chef.
“It’s interesting and heartening to know that the public and the audience is interested in seeing a movie centred on a female chef... it was difficult to get the mannerisms of a skilled chef right, but I got tips from my best friend and director Ram [Kamal Mukherjee],” said Deol in an interview with Gulf News tabloid!
Deol was in Dubai on Sunday to promote the short film that’s scheduled to release in the digital format in October. When asked if women can have it all, she said that CakeWalk was her platform where she expressed the artist in her, although she enjoyed being a hands-on mother.
