The British singer-songwriter with a crazy-good voice and an even crazier fashion sense supports Bruno Mars in Dubai on Friday. Here are five things to know about her.

Her first album went platinum:

Faith (which is her middle name -- her family name is Blomfield) released her debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? in 2009, and it was certified Platinum by the British Phonographic Industry, with five singles: “Stone Cold Sober”, “New York”, “Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful?”, “Upside Down” and “Smoke & Mirrors”.

Chaka Khan and Prince are fans:

The legendary songstress, along with Annie Lennox, personally requested that Faith perform ‘I’m Every Woman’ at an International Women’s Day event for 50,000 people. And the Purple One is her mentor. “I felt that with his encouragement, I could go out there and achieve something,” she said.

She always, always wears heels:

“Anywhere you can’t wear stilettos isn’t worth going. I can’t be slumming it at festivals,” she said this week. “Me in a pair of wellies? That’s never gonna happen.

She wears a sari in her latest video:

The singer’s stylist draped her in a nearly Dh3,000 sari from in Leicester in the UK for her Black and Blue video.

She’s making more new music:

“Having very productive writing time in the studio! Very excited,” she tweeted last week, along with a snap of her and Sade musician and producer Stuart Matthewman.
