Mallika snubbed!

Mallika Sherawat had a reality check at Cannes when she tried to get a toehold among the Hollywood glitterati. Mallika, who was promoting her Hollywood debut Hiss, was attending a charity event called ‘Cinema Against AIDS 2010' organised by a non-profit organisation dedicated to AIDS research. Also present were Jennifer Lopez, Gerard Butler, Paris Hilton and designers Karl Lagerfeld and Roberto Cavalli. Now Mallika, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana dress and rocks by Boucheron, did look expensive - but nobody knew who she was. According to witnesses, Paris looked away and refused to even shake hands, leaving Mallika at the periphery of the party nursing a drink. Apparently, Mallika had paid a photographer to take pictures while she met any Hollywood celebrity. How many shots he got is anyone's guess!

Now, we all know that there's no love lost between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. Even though they said that their break-up was amicable.

But that's far from the truth. By the looks of it, there is friction between the two even now, with reports of them refusing to acknowledge each other in public.

A case in point was when the two spent an entire day shooting at a studio in Mumbai for their respective projects and gave each other a cold shoulder. Our spy on the ground revealed that ‘not a word was exchanged between the estranged couple.'

Both the stars, according to the witness, had their staff on alert, informing them of each other's movement so that they wouldn't bump into each other.

Of course, when the media contacted Katrina, she refuted all the reports and even said that they had gone out for lunch together.
