The Hollywood actress is in town to open the first UAE store of a global handbag brand
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz is at the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue for the store launch of Carpisa, a global handbag brand, as it opens its doors in the mall for the first time.
Cruz, a brand ambassador of Carpisa, held a meet-and-greet with press at the recent extension of the mall on Thursday afternoon.
The actress has been to Dubai before, and in 2016 was named the face of the Damas jewellery line Sama.
Her most recent visit comes hot on the heels of an announcement that she will star against Lupita Nyong’o, Marion Cotillard and Fan Bingbing in 355, an all-female spy movie created by, and co-starring, Jessica Chastain.
The Simon Kinberg directed feature will revolve around five international spies who forge a bond despite their conflicts.
